Answers to Questions..
Folks ask my why am I loading to the forum and why the password. Well my other option is a site perhaps like 4shared etc. So you would follow the same steps only instead you go to the forum on the VDBC site and download. I am trying to centralize my work and time on the net so I can create create create. (I am having success with this goal as I have been creating like crazy.) So once you have registered at the forum you can continue to download the freebies by using the passwords. They change once a month rather then every time. So sometimes the forum may not even ask you for a password if you already entered it that month. 🙂 And that is the blah blah blah of today’s post.

There were some awesome projects submitted this year and I find it a great time to thank those who consistently upload photos to our gallery and forum. You make what we do as designers look soooooo good.

So it is the week before Thanksgiving. And I am so thankful for so many things. I randomly have posted in different places what I am thankful for. I am reminded daily with those who visit the forum and my emails and phone calls and just the friends and loved ones I am so touched by. To have a part of my life. Just wonderful. Thank you for that.

I am off to work on some graphic design work and also cut some files for the craft fair I am participating in in December. 2 of them actually pretty exciting and nerve wracking too. 🙂

National I love Writing Day.

Did you journal today?

I know that a lot of folks in the forum talk about  procrastinating over their journaling. Today is “National I love Writing day”.

Did you know that?

 

What are your tips for getting the journaling done?

 

My favorite place to journal is my Christmas tree. Sounds crazy but it is true. We collect key chains on our travels and I add little laminated tags to each telling a highlight or the year we went on the trip. When we put up our Christmas tree it is a journey through our travels. These are short little tags that don’t require much. When we get our tree up this year I will take a picture.

Gift Card … Microbead Crazies…

Today is my post on the Card A day blog. My theme is gift card. I need a religious one. I am trying to work more with these pretty little microbeads that I have. They just befuddle me. Yes I used the word befuddle me. In trying to make them look nice and even. But it just doesn’t work no matter what I do. If you have some tips and tricks, I will take them. I will keep trying to add to the card and make them look better.

Let me say tho…. I have a few very pretty jars of microbeads that add lovely color! Just so pretty.

Basically this is a card for a religious event. i.e. the cross and I love this stamp. It’s just pretty.

It is an honor….

Today is the day you are given the honor of voting. I know so many who find it a hassle or a bother to go out of their routine to do so. I have been known to get choked up as I walk away from the polls after my vote. What an honor to have my choice cast among the many. I often believe we do not have to have the same opinion to be friends or countrymen. I think if everyone agreed…we would just find something else to argue about. It is just human nature to have your own thoughts whether you are passionate, opinionated or just keep them to yourself.

 

One thing we do do every voting day. We get our child to the polling place. We would like him to have that natural response to voting day. To put it in your day and plan for it as the right and privilege it is. Not leave it to the last minute. Not grumble because the line is long. That line is long because others are taking the time to vote. We come together on such a day in a place to let our opinion be registered. What a phenomenal process. This morning our son was ready to go with Dad to the polling place. This made my heart beam. I told a friend about it and she said we are raising “good citizens”. She was waiting for her kids to wake up to take them. Something that may seem so small as a parent to do may be the step that persuades our children in the future to volunteer, step up and run or be a part of this process.

 

I feel voting is granted to us by those who came before us and fought for that right. Especially being female. 1920 does not seem so long ago that women were first allowed to vote. So because we come before my son and his grandchildren, I will vote and vote regularly and continuously to do my part in helping them ensure that right in the future. I hope you do to.
