These pics are from my March Scrap Retreat. I thought the title from Chris was perfect. We as scrapbookers don’t lie we just like to embellish a little 🙂 The papers are Die Cut With A View from the Retro stack and he flowers came from 7 Gypsies. The scrolling form Tim Holtz Grungeboard is painted with Dried Marigold Crackel Paint from Ranger Industries. The Berlin Ohio Die Cut was purchased at a scrapbooking store there. Sorry I haven’t been posting lately. Life is really hectic around here. My son is getting married in 18 days and I am not even ready for this. We still have to finish getting our clothes and shoes for the wedding! But on the positive note, I will have a ton of pictures to scrap.. I am the photographer!!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!! It is National Scrapbook Day. Wouldn’t it be nice to find time every day to use your machines or be creative? Sometimes life gets a little busy or a little hectic. However, I am always coming up with the ideas so I have a sketch pad. In our forum, Angie has posted a planning template to throw your layout ideas down on and save them for when you have the time to actually create. I love this idea. I actually have printed out a few extras and have them on hand. I have clear slip covers that when digging through my “collection” if I come across something that I think would be “perfect” with it I put it in the slip cover. I found this a great and simple idea that helps me really spend a good portion of my craft time creating rather than planning. If you are interested in the form, it is posted here. I will be taking all the names that have wishlists in the store and putting them in a drawing. And next week… everyday I will be giving one file away from the drawing. BONUS ENTRIES:: + Those who have posted in the May BINGO thread that they have sent in their words will get there name added to the drawing an extra time. +Those who have completed the April Sketch Challenge by the end of this weekend will get their name thrown into the drawing again. This is a photo of my daughter and son-in-law on their wedding day. I have used a cutting file by Chris Durnan called Happily Ever After. This layout was created in Photoshop and styles were added to the cutter files. I have to say that working with Chris’s cutter files digitally is made all the easier because Chris separates the files rather than presenting them all matted on top of each other as they would end up if you cut them on a cutter. It is so easy just to grab one part of the file, work with it in PS, and then get the next part and I really appreciate how easy Chris makes it for me to work this way.
