BurstShapedBrad-Rouge.gifFiles Types:
There is a section in the forum explaining file types and their use. Below is a brief overview of how files can be worked with. If you have any questions, please post them in the forum. There are many here to help out.

To see more details about each individual designers files, please visit the page HERE.  Below is information in regards to Chris's Files only.

A note from Chris Durnan.. I  create most of my files in Illustrator. It is a program I have used for so long that she easily gravitated towards it. With a working knowledge of all the other programs used as well. Here are some of the basics on the file types created and what they can do. If you are interested in tutorials regarding some of these files and their programs, please visit the forum.

AI -

This is an illustrator file. KNK Studio can open this file type. Inkscape can open Illustrator files that are saved with PDF compatibility. Also, because Chris Durnan saves her files with the pdf capability the newest version of Adobe Acrobat will open the AI files if you would like to use them for a paper piecing and do not own a digital cutter yet.

GSD -

This is a file type that works with the Robo Master program. Chris Durnan created her files in Robomaster 2.4. This means if you have a more updated version of Robomaster you will be able to open those files.

WPC -

This file type works with the WinPC/SignLab programs. Chris Durnan imports the AI files into WinPC and then regroup them so they are as easy to use as possible for the end user. And then exports them in WPC 14 in order to make them accessible to the most users with Funtime or Scrap Savvy Funtime etc.

KNK -

This file type works with KNK Studio and GE. I have opened the files from Illustrator and changed the line to thinline because they import with thickline attributes. I then go through and regroup the items in order to give the person using the file an easier experience of cutting.

SCUT -

These files work with the Sure Cuts A Lot Software. I export an AI file to SVG. Then I import them into the Sure Cuts A Lot program. It is recommend that you download the AI file and the SCUT file in case you would like to work with the file further. The SCAL software does not allow for alot of working with the file within the program.

SVG -

SVG files work with the new e-craft, the Make The Cut for Cricut, Inkscape for Black Cat Cougar, and the list goes on.

FS -

If you are in need of the FS file type to work the Create & Cut software, you can open my files by importing the AI files.

DIGI-CUTTER FILES in the Forum:
If you are interested in a place to upload your files, please do so in the forum. There is a section based on every file type. As long as they do not conflict with any copyright or terms of use. We welcome them.

Also, if you have a blog that shows tutorial regarding different softwares, we would love to have you post the link in our form with the tutorial description. Please do not post any links to other forums or groups where our members would have to join in. But to any blog or web page would be acceptable. Thank you!
