Thanks for the comments. My other DS doesn't get in the dog water much, but this kid would NOT stay out. We finally put up a gate blocking it from him. Fortunately back then the dog could jump the gate to get to the water, now he's got arthritis in his back so I don't think he could manage - good thing we don't have to have a gate up again!
