RECIPE SWAP -- Main Dish

OK...it seems like the majority wants a monthly Recipe Swap, so that's what we will go with. Our format will be 6x6 and embellished, but not too bulky. They will be due on the first of every month, but we will have separate sign ups every month for each different category. Everyone will mail them to me, include enough postage for return, and I will swap and mail them back out. Chris had a great idea that won't put the burden of creating too many on anyone! You create 6 of your particular recipe and I will send you 6 recipes in return. So you won't get all the recipes turned in, but you will get a variety! How's that sound?

The third swap will be Main Dishes and will be due 9/1.

...here are the categories:

Due July 1 -- Appetizer -- MAILED BACK
Due August 1 -- Side Dish -- MAILED BACK
Due September 1 -- Main Dish
Due October 1 -- Dessert
Due November 1 -- Drinks or Soups, Stews Sauces (we'll decide which category later)

that will mean everyone will have their last set of recipes BEFORE the end of November which will be in plenty of time for Christmas!!

I would like to apoplogize again for being late. I have had some major medical problems and just couldn't get them done.

We leave Monday to go to see out new grandson in MI and will be gone for aoubt 6 weeks, so I won't be able to join in the next two swaps. Just not up to getting everything together to take with me. Not sure I am up for the trip, but we have planed this for a long time. 2100 miles one way.

Don't know if I will have much internet connection while we are gone, so will see you all when I see you or in about 6 weeks, which ever come first. LOL

Sorry Ladies! I have been MIA! My mom hurt her back (what a wonderful trip to the ER in the middle of the night!) and I've been staying at her house making sure she doesn't overdo it! She doesn't have internet and the connection I found in her neighborhood was iffy (of course, my DH said I was STEALING internet....my thing is, if you don't want someone using your connection, SECURE IT! Can you tell this has been an on-going argument?)

Anyway, the Main Dishes are all swapped out and ready to mail back to everyone....

Again, I profusely apologize for how long this has taken me! She's on the mend now, staying by herself, although we still won't let her cook dinner. AND she has Therapy appts twice a week to take her to...but at least I'm back in my own bed! (AAAHHHH!)
