August Sketch Challenge

I am standing in this month for Rosalie.

Please help spread the word about this challenge. Becky Fleck has again provided a great sketch and Tina has added some files to help us embellish. Remember that all the previous months are still in the forum so you can use any files that fit your layout.

The rules of this challenge are pretty simple: Use the sketch and or the cutter files to spark some creativity and post the results here in the forum.

No problem.. MY promo isn't as great as the others but for my first I guess it is ok.. This was fun for me.. Anytime you need me to fill in on something i will be glad to do it. :) You already do so much for all of us..

Thanks I just kinda grabbed some paper and went for it. LOL I wasn't fond of it but my hubby liked it so I left it alone. Thanks. Can't wait to see what others do with it!

Here is my lo of my hubby and his brothers dog. We watch her when he goes away and she can't go.

I used Chris' doggie, bone files, and some of the files from this challenge. One paper is flocked, stickles, and brads. Thanks for the files and the challenge. :D

I love all the layoouts so far. Tina, love the colors!!! Caz, Love the idea of the cups. Wish I had thought to take pics of my Grandmothers cups before they were divided up. What a neat idea. Ginger, really like the dog theme! The extra doggie files really made a cute addition.

My brother is working on the lap top and may be able to retrieve my files (I had last backed up at the end of June so not too bad but still! And no photos lost which is most important.) but I still have to figure out a way to use my old blue wishblade on Vista if I get a new lap top. Uggghh. Wishing I could find a lap top with XP! I may not make this deadline. So sorry.

Just wanted to take a minute to say that I loved checking out the other layouts for this month. Ginger, love the dog pictures, makes me smile, and love how you used Chris' files. Tina, love, love, love those colors, and what a very cool layout. And Caz, love it. I have my husband's grandmother's collection of cups and saucers. I do need to take pictures to let my kids and grandkids, know the history.

Just always love getting more ideas for using the files.

Finally after a LONG TIME I just grabbed a light and dark of two colors and cut it...then I was still wondering what to do and all of a sudden it made sense. LOL I am so dumb. So I needed a birthday card right away, and this is what I did. I might still use the sketch later, just wanted to cut that pretty swirl. You designers are so dang smart! Thanks again for the files.

Gorgeous card Pam and everyone's layouts are excellent. I may have to try that flower embelishment, looks awesome! I've also been watching Jennifer Mcquires "thinking ink" videos on her blog, just awesome ideas to help with stamping and using Tim Holtz stuff. How great would some of those techniques work on our cut files! So much fun!:cool:

'three bugs in a rug'--tickled pink, I'm a thinkin'. :D
I do so need to think about a more powerful camera, though, pics don't do colors any justice. It's time for an upgrade!! LOL!!!:D

I posted this in Chris's CT Blog too but I'm too impatient to wait for it to load on the forum - lol. so I'm putting my page here too.

I used the background with Bazzil paper then put it on top of a pattern piece of bazzil, the paper piecing flower circles (which I LOVE), the torn notebook paper, the small border piece and the arrow photo corners. I added A Charming Place ( www.acharmingplace.com) arrow charms on top of the photo corners. Title is my own. All the pieces and my title were cut from Petallics paper.

I will be doing another page or 2 to finish the story – lol. Thanks for looking.
