Here is my submission for this week's challenge--thank you Darcy for emailing me your VROOM title file--so cute!
I jazzed up my diecuts (paper piecings--I hand-draw each of mine before putting them in my program) by white embossing enamel, glitter spica pens, white signo pen, stacking lots of pieces, foam tape (pop-up dimensionals), layering, and a bit of "fluff" for Kirby to chase around!

Thanks GIRLS! It was WAY easy to know what to do when I saw that vroom title and the smoke coming from the car--I thought instant VACCUUM instead of car--my oldest is 9 and he LOVES vaccuums--it's been a long running affair since he was 2. Yes I have about 6 pages with vac themes of him! hahah
In July we took a 3 week road trip up the East Coast to all the Historical sites (I was a teacher and principal for 8 years--now I homeschool)--and guess what he found? A VACCUUM store in the heart of an antique district. HAHA
So I've already posted his picture standing in front of it. He's a hoot!
And the BRAVE Toaster? Well he has all THREE of the movies (yes they made 3 of them) and I think I could SAY the ENTIRE movie by heart if called upon!
So they were NOT hard to draw and piece when they are like a member of the family. hahahah
PS Chris don't your kids ALWAYS manage to make you feel great about yourself? I remember when we were on a trip this summer short trip--and I was trying to hurry the kids to the car because we were by ourselves and it was dark. I said, "there could be some freak out here". My son said and I QUOTE
"Well mama you are almost 200 lbs you could stomp that freak in the ground!" I was so tickled--I couldn't even do anything but laugh. I'm not 200 lbs and I could not stomp anyone into the ground--but I guess to him (he's a tiny little twig due to his heart issues) I look like a giant and he has over confidence in me)"
hahah

Well - I finished mine but you can't really see the jazzy part in the picture - lol. I took the picture in the sun hoping the simmers would shine:).
Chalk inks are my favorite tool for jazzing die cuts up so I decided to use something different this time. I edged the green pieces with a green pen. I used stickles in the holes on the large flower - you can barely see one sparkling towards the top:). I also colored the white flower and the stem and leaves with a clear atyou Spica pen - that's the part you really can't see although I see a few white spots on the one on the left and the right flower petal on the bottom:). Then I added a bling in the center.
My desktop is in the shop so can't scan it to see if that is any better.
Oh - I plan to use this in a mini book I'm making as a thank you for a co-worker. in one picture his daughter is in a light green and white dress and this will look great with it.

I did a Thanksgiving card using Darcy's Pumpkin file and Chris' Birthday Bear and Apple (CD00562) file. Here's how I jazzed it up: Pumpkin was chalked, stem was sanded, tendrils were stickled (is that a word? lol); Bear was stuck with Fun Flock, eyes and nostrils were puffed with Liquid Applique; Happy Thanksgiving is up on pop-dots; and I added stickles to the background paper. Thanks for a very fun challenge Darcy.

Ok, I finished mine, hope it's Jazzy enough--and my sparkles don't all show. It's an anniversary card, I used Darcy's flower file, I cut a vase out of the middle section, used a miniziplock, filled it with clear hair gel (idea from splitcoast stampers). On the flower I used chalk, souffle pen, glitter pen and also on the flower stem. Hoe you all like it--wish the pic would turn out better but....

gorgeous card Melody :)
here is mine, I made a "Happy Thanksgiving (http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/forum/album.php?albumid=26&pictureid=166)" card. I created this in PSCS3 and have used several effects and actions to "bling" up my card!
The pumpkin body and vine has had a felt action applied to it. The stalk had a rusty style applied, I like the effect this created!. My papers have been "chalked" digitally and my little scarecrow turned a textured sticker! I hope you like it.

Great job Melody and Caz--isn't it fun to jazz things up? I would have done more on mine, but it's an anniversary card so I wanted to keep it a little less subtle for the gentleman of the couple, they don't always like too much bling. I've been trying to do the challenges according to the cards I need to make. I still need to do 3 more BD cards and another anniversary card in the next few days--but I know there will be some cool challenges coming up so hopefully I'll get those done!

Hi All!
This is my first challenge - but boy was it fun! My 5 yr. old daughter is such a girly girl that I thought this would be a great file and challenge to do something for her. So, I created a doorknob hanger. I used my Silhouette to cut the doorknob hanger as well as the girly girl file from Darcy. Pink and purple, silver and gold, are Kyla's favorite colors, so that was the basis for my project. The jazzying (is that a word?) that I did was this: Over the words 'girly girl' I stamped a background image using Versamark - I love that stuff! Over the flowers in the cut out I stuck on some glittery flowers I had left over from my daughter's Fancy Nancy b-day party. For the center of the flowers, to give more dimension, I took out the centers of some other flowers and stuck those on top. Then I took my silver glittery gel pen and outlined the whole girly girl part. I also used the gel pen to write Kyla's Room at the top (may not be able to see that too well in the pics - silver is hard to photograph!). I also took a green glittery gel pen and drew on the stem and leaves of the flowers to make them stand out a bit more. For the flowers on the bottom I took other pointy flowers and cut them up so that I could make the little sprigs coming out the sides. I don't know if my project will win, but my daughter loves it! She's decided that she's going to keep it on her closet door (which is where the picture was taken) so that it doesn't get caught in the bedroom door and rip. Smart kid! LOL
~Heather
p.s. I hope these upload okay - it's my first time...please bear with me :)

I just finished with these, except a little journaling I'll add later. What a good feeling to have 2 more pages done! I used 3 files from Darcy- the Girly Girl file and 2 flower files, plus glitter glue, satin picot edge ribbon, and some chalk that doesn't show in the photos. I also stamped some plain white cardstock with a tiny heart confetti stamp in light pink for parts of the flowers, but it's hard to see.
I also cut out a bunch of other shapes so I can keep going the rest of the week. This was fun!
