I think this is our 4th weekly challenge and I have seen some great entries in the challenges. I hope they are inspiring you like they do me. I am sponsoring this one to celebrate our anniversary.

Challenge Details:

This weeks challenge is to post a picture of a project with a Celebration theme using any files from myself or the designers in the store. Post your picture by the 7th.

We love to have any reason to celebrate in our families so hopefully yours does to! The celebration can be a party, wedding, birthday party, party favors, treat boxes, invitations, anniversary. Anything you can come up with used for celebrating !!!

Those posting by the 7th will get entered in a drawing on the 8th for a $5.00 gift certificate to my section of the store. This gift certificate can be applied to any of my files (certificate expires 12/31/09). There will be one winner of the drawing. Please make sure your PMs are turned on here at the forum so that I can send you the winning details.

Super simple and easy I hope to see what you can come up with!

Hope you enjoy the anniversary party!!!! Thank you!!!

Enjoy!
Chris

I hope many can jump in and have a little fun cutting. I often get told that many become collectors and not users of their machines. I hope this will help you become a user.

Thanks for the push to finish this layout. I actually started this project in May and then I packed it away to move. I am sure that is some sort of record for the longest time to complete a layout!

This is a hybrid layout of my middle son's birthday. I am still learning this hybrid stuff. The journal block printed a little to dark...
I used a Scrapbook etc. collage template, some florishes and digital calendar. I printed it as an 8x8 and then scraped the rest traditionally.

I used Chris's Happy Birthday title from her Teddy bear and Apple (http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/store/product.php?productid=16620&cat=257&page=2) file. http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=19&pictureid=246

BTW, can this be something we already have or does it need to be a new project?
Also could I use the cupcake wrappers I did for halloween??

I know me with a million questions as usual...lol

It can be anything. I know Karen has a guitar hero birthday layout. That would work.

What ever is your celebration project..

Here is a birthday card I used with Chris' Happy Birdday file. I tried a new technique too -- flocking. My little birdie is nice and soft. May be hard to tell in the picture, but the background is glitter too.

I did a few last week that may count- they are in my album.
The Halloween one used Chris' cupcake wrappers.

There's a girly girl from Darcy's file. My daughter and her BFF were having a private party.

And there's a bunch of Darcy's flowers on this one of a beauty parlor birthday party:

Here is a layout that I did from my daughter's surprise 17th birthday party this year. She still needs to sit down and journal this page, but I have my part done. I used Beloved Keepsakes Happy Birthday Title.

I liked the monochromatic challenge so well (or was it getting to win the drawing?) that I did another page from the same party to coordinate.

http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/forum/album.php?albumid=42&pictureid=310
I also used the word "delicious" from Chris' 3rd Qtr. Foodie words file on that and on another page:
http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/forum/album.php?albumid=42&pictureid=311
I used Chris' foofaraw file (bought at 60% off during the party- wow!) to decorate the 2 newest pages. I stretched some of the swirls for variety. I need to cut more of the different shapes to add to my stash.

Lori,
Do you want this one, or a picture after she has journaled on it? If you want to wait until the journaling is done it will probably be next week since school is out this week for Spud Harvest here in Idaho and she is working in the spuds this week. So it may be next week depending on when she has to be to work today. Just let me know your preference. Thanks.
