Favorite Card Saying or quote...
What is your Favorite card saying or your favorite quote.. lets shoot for out of the box.. not like just Happy Birthday... something like..

When it comes to friends
There's lots of them about
But you're the very very best
Of that, there is no doubt
Happy Birthday

or

Happy Birthday. My thoughts are free to go anywhere, but it's surprising how often they head in your direction.

or

God grant your little one
All the blessing of His gentle love

or

What a precious bundle of joy you are
Cute from head to toe
You melt my heart with your sweetness
Everywhere you go
You're my special gift this Christmas
Descended from heaven above
The most perfect little angel
Sent for your Grandma to love.

With all my love and best wishes
for your very 1st Christmas

You can find these on the web or pull one out of your own treasure chest. I think as we collect these they would be great for a future weekly challenge.

Due by Sunday night and winners drawn on Monday.

If you are outside of the U.S. I would be happy to donate you free files from the store in exchange for the winnings. We can work something out if you win.

This prize was donated by Heather.. My picture is horrible these are so awesome. I wish I could keep them to!!

I actually have a couple of favorite quotes:

"It is easier to beg forgiveness than to obtain permission." - Grace Hopper

"Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted" - seen on a local church sign

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning how to dance in the rain" - unknown

Actually I found my most recent favorite while watching a Rocky movie a couple weeks ago, lol.

You gotta want to do it. Don't let fear keep you from trying. Do it for just you alone. If you lose, at least it's with no excuses, no fears.

Its something I always say to my kids. Eventually it will end up in a layout.

Two of my favorites are the two I use in my sig line a lot of times.

"Preach the gospel everyday; if necessary, use words." - Francis of Assisi
and
The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you.

There's several quotes I like but this is one of my favorites: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. ~unknown" Another one I like to tease my husband about is "The only reason I have a kitchen is because it came with the house. ~unknown"

Thanks, Margaret

Here is one I like for weddings:

You two have decided that
You'll share one house for life,
And call yourselves, instead of friends,
A husband and a wife.

And here is a great one for birthdays:

Making a wish especially for you
And hoping sincerely it
really comes true;
Have a wonderful
Birthday and after it's done
May the year that's ahead
be a wonderful one!

This is a great idea, Chris! I always have a hard time thinking of something to put on the inside of the card.

Mine is from a related birthday card and goes great with my free birthday card in the knk section.

Maybe next year
You should have your birthday
On a day I'll actually remember.

Happy Belated!

My favorite Halloween card:

Bag of Peanut Butter Cups - 2.99
Black Pointy Hat - 8.99
5 Chocolate Bars - 2.79
Straw Broom - 7.99
Green Face Paint - 3.99

One day a year you're supposed to eat chocolate and be a witch - PRICELESS

I like this Helen Keller quote:

The most beautiful things in the world
cannot be seen or even touched,
they must be felt with the heart.

I love quotes--I have several favs

Life is short-eat dessert first!

Many people will walk in and out of your life but only true friends leave footprints in your heart. Eleanor Roosevelt

Do or do not--there is no try! --Yoda (my personal motto--you make a decision to either do something or not do it--if you "try" to exercise--you most likely won't! Things you really want to accomplish--you have to make a priority!)

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift.......that's why it's called 'the present'.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take; But by the moments that take our breath away…..

Always stop to smell the roses which I do

Little boy are noise, toys and corduroys -

I love Erma Bombeck Quotes and this one is so true

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me".
Erma Bombeck

The next one can be changed to she

He is only away -
in your thoughts and your heart
you are always together,
never apart;
In your sorrow, remember -
He’s only away . . .
though he may not be with you
the memories stay . . .
and in time, when the hurt
isn’t too much to bear,
whenever you look in your heart
He’ll be there.

Another one for sympathy?remembering cards

The tide recedes
but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand,

The sun goes down
but gentle warmth still lingers on the land,

The music stops
and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains...

For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains

an Irish Blessing for St Pat's Cards or just to inspire someone

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.

May your home be bright with cheer,
May your cares all disappear,
May contentment come your way,
And may laughter fill your day.

These would be good in a section of the forum - You are right there are lots of quotes and sayings out there but sometimes you have to go through lots of sites to find a gem.

Chris,

I'm taking care of my Dad who will be 99 tomorrow and my husband who is going through radiation treatments, so my favorite quote at the moment is

"God Please Help me Cope With My Blessings"

It will be great for a mom with a toddler, or a teenager, or.....

Thanks,

Carmen

I saw this one the other day and just loved it!

Family ties are precious threads
No matter where we roam.
They draw us close to those we love
And pull our hearts back home.

And this is one of my all time favorites. I used it on a layout last year..

Walk a little slower, Dad
Cos I am only small.
I’m following in your footsteps,
And I don’t want to fall.

Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they’re hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Dad,
For you are leading me.

Someday when I’m all grown up.
You’re what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child,
Who’ll want to follow me.

And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Dad,
For I must follow you.

I wrote this poem for my parent's 40th anniversary card, but it could be applied to any anniversary card:

To have and to hold over 40 years,
through the triumphs, sadness, smiles and tears,
Your marriage has lasted while others failed,
through sickness and health your love has prevailed.
May this day when 40 years ago you said "I Do"
Be a special reminder of a love that has stayed true.

I have written this on quite a few cards, because it's a favorite for my husband and me. Now I need to design a digital file of it so I can print a beautiful copy.

The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make His face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn His face toward you
and give you peace.
