Have fun!
1. You will choose 15 words from this list below.
2. You will send an email to VDBCBingo@gmail.com with your list of words. Also, please include your Forum/ User name in the subject line. Due to the holidays, and all the busy rushing around, and cooking, and family guests, etc., etc....(that's why we're posting a bit early, for you to get it
started and done, and out of the way) DEADLINE IS NOV.30th. First word will be called on DEC.1st. Don't wait, or put it off, you can do it right away, then go a cookin'!
3. Everyday you will need to check back to this original post in this thread (this page here), and see if your word has been called! All words called will be updated in this original post, so it is up to you to come back here and check. (now, be sure to scroll on down past the word list, ok?...that's
where you'll see them) I will be calling a word early in day, and another in night, but you never know just when...hehe! By calling two, and maybe even sometime 3 a day at different times, gives every one in every time zone a chance. So, stay on your toes, and check often-- you never know
about me and FROSTY, there could be surprises! This is a magical time of year!

1. Holiday Meals--Through the Holidays we all think of cooking and eating and sharing the great times together. We are
so busy all through the year, we hold these times closest to hearts, and take the time to 'catch-up' with relatives and friends.
2. Watching Movies--Don't ya just love getting into the spirit of Christmas by watching all the movies they show? Chris had named some earlier in one of her posts. And even after the holidays, it's so good to relax and watch the movies you've missed!
3. Quilting--Stitching two pieces of material together, with padding in between. I want to add to that, by saying(besides this being my second love of hobbies) that there are beautiful designs out there that when stitched together make lovely and elegant quilts to hand down in generations. I remember my mother putting scissors in my hands at age 7, and helping her cut out pieces for her quilts. That was the good ole' manual way.. Nowadays there are amazing tools and techniques!
4. Reading All Your Favorite Books --Ohhh, yes! After all the holiday rush, house is quiet, it's too cold to go out, snow is pouring down, fire is lit, nothing good on the TV......grab that favorite story that you can read until your hearts content!!
5. Snuggling by the Fireplace -- remember that good book we just grabbed in the last word? Here's the fireplace I was telling you about!! LOL! Or...if you prefer, we can go another direction---your guests are gone, kids are asleep, packages all wrapped and nothing to do but relax with your honey, so pour yourselves a glass of wine, grab a warm, soft throw and you two sit by the fire and enjoy!
6. Sleigh Ride-- How many of you have actually rode in an old fashion sleigh pulled by a horse? Please, please share your story! I have always wanted to and never had the oppurtunity..YET! Hope to someday...I read about it, see pictures, watch it on TV. And you would think that here in the hills of KY, that I would have been more accustomed to it! LOL!
7.Shoveling Snow-- UGH!! this could be a not so fun thing. And when life gives ya a bunch of snow---make snow cream!! LOL!
8. Singing Carols -- Well, I couldn't hold a tune in a five-gallon bucket, but I do enjoy christmas music, and singing to my grandbabies (they don't seem to mind mamaws twang!) LOL! Would love to get a group together and go caroling this year. My daughter and I have talked of it. I think there's a few of you in here that go regularly every year, maybe if we get enough together, we can make it a tradition! Got to start somewhere, right?
9. Mittens -- Gloves without fingers! Nice to have on to 'round- out' the perfect snowball! And, in most all designs for digital, die-cuts, etc.-- they are the most famous for representing a winter page/card embellishment!
10.Baking Cookies -- MMMmmmm!! Now, this is what I'm talkin' about! My fav is getting the chocolate chip right out of the oven, and a glass of milk! We(Kennadi, my grandaughter and I) have made a sord of tradition started , every year for Christmas we bake cookies together. I found an old cotton apron, she uses, and what started out with the apron being so long, it looked like a gown on her, has now gotten shorter, as she grows!! Share with all you're favorite baked cookies, and maybe even some good recipes! :-)
11.Play Board Games With Family -- This is great fun for everyone-- especially when it's so cold and nasty outside!
12. Scarves -- A long length of fabric to wrap around your neck to keep air from coming down inside your coat, and to keep your neck warm. All so many types, and styles, and colors! Some funny ones, some 'itchy' ones! But, a very nice gift to give and receive during the holidays. Well, now that I think about it-- there are those that are used as accessary to wardrobes throughout the whole year! ( mY BrAiN...fOcuSeD on tHe HoLiDaYs! hehe)
13. Knitting -- (: to form by interlacing yarn or thread in a series of connected loops with needles)-makes lovely afghans and sweaters, hats and your scarves we were just talking about! LOL And this, too, makes a lovely gift!
14. Thick Socks -- now, I don't know about you all, but I love my feet covered with big thick socks of a night, especially when temps are down in the teens! When my feet get chilled, I chill all over. But, too, when ya can't find your mittens-- thick socks makes good enough mittens to round out that perfect snow ball to 'smear' somebody!! LOL!!!
15. Building Snowmen -- Now that we've all eaten, watched movies, snuggling by the fireplace, and took a ride, came in played, and knitted scarves---LET'S GO BUILD A SNOWMAN!!! Woo hoo! We've had a couple post pics for the little challenges in here, of their snowman, and they were adorable, btw-- But it doesn't have to take a challenge to share your photos--let's see some 'snowy' photos if you got any.
16. Snow Forts -- a mound of snow, built up high enough for you to hide behind, while trying to avoid being hit with snowballs! Each oppenant is responsible for having their own protection!! But look out for the 'High- Flys!" LOL!
17. Hot Chocolate -- MMMMmmmm....a nice and hot ,chocolatey brew topped with marshmellows---just after coming in from that big snowball fight, or a late winter stroll, or sleigh ride! Now this will make ya warm all over!! ;-)
18. Snow Cream -- fresh snow scooped into a bowl, with delicious ingredients, to make a sweet delectable treat! A favorite and traditional funtime in our household (if we ever get deep enough snow)
19. Boots -- like I said earlier (in the last word), IF we get deep enough snow.. then you need to put those boots on to keep feet warm and dry. The longer your feet stay warm and dry, the longer you get to play in the snow!!
20. Catching Snowflakes with your tongue -- (drum role--rat-a-tat-tat!) LOL!! This is our bingo theme!! Does anybody have pics of their kids/grandkids trying to catch a snowflake? Post and share! The little boy on our logo for bingo is our one and only scrappinmama's grandson-- it was just perfect to use--thanks again, Karen, for sharing!
21. Gift Giving -- it 'tis better to give than receive... need I say more? We all get blessings and good heart-warming feelings to make someone else happy with a gift.
22. Scrapbooking -- what an addictive hobby for anytime of year, especially when it's too cold to go out.
23. Ice Capades -- Oh what fun it would be, to go to a ice skating show, with all the costumes and music and wonderfully talented skaters! This is a sord of hidden challenge.....the first (2) people that posts a picture (doesn't have to be a layout) of an Ice Capade Show that they have attended wins a beautiful prize file from Chris (titled: Ice Capades)
24. Snow Angel -- This is truly 'THE TRADITION' when it comes to playing in the snow! Just gotta figure out how to keep those footprints out of it, when getting back up! LOL!

Good morning, everyone!!!! First of all, thank you, thank you, thank you, for getting with it and signing up! It's great to see you back for yet another month of fun with Bingo! And, if you're here for the first time--WELCOME!
I was out of reach, yesterday, but I'm back and ready to play! I'm as excited to call the words, as you all are to play!!! But, to give everyone a
chance we must be patient for a few more days.....
So, I thought, while'st we were waiting, how about everyone telling and sharing their plans for the week? I, myself, am staying right here in town, we always have our Thanksgiving at my sisters, which is just down the road. I cook the main stuff, and take it there. She is so gracious to put up with all of
us, I figued the least I could do, is cook it! She's is truly a blessing to me, and for that I'm so thankful. And, too, my daughter is hosting her very 1st dinner for her In-Laws, after 7 years of marriage! (and I know some of us can well remember the days, we were in that same spot! Ha!) So, momma
is going over to her house the night before and doing the cooking (+ my cookin', too, double the recipes up!) This is going to be interesting! I like 'MY' tools, and to use someone elses kitchen, I'll be lost!!! Ha!

Good morning. Can't wait to get this one started. I can play this time around. :) Did I tell you I just love Bingo? Looks like I'll be spending the next several weeks in Kentucky with my family. Hoping to spend lots of time with my "bestest" friend too! Don't know what I would have done without her these past few days. She's truely been a blessing!!
Now it's time for some fun! Let the games begin......

Sounds like fun Melody. this year we have also had a changeroo.. The Aunt who normally hosts Thanksgiving is having some difficult times and called yesterday to ask my MIL to do it. As most know my MIL has a very small ratio of working heart so she gest exhausted quick. So we will be there super early and stay super late. So we can cook and clean up. My famliy is celebrating on Friday this year. So we won't be house hopping. So looking forward to this. May even spend the night on Thursday at the In-Laws so we can put up their tree on Friday.
I better go get the little one dressed.
Enjoy!

LOL - Melody - I remember the first time I cooked for my ILs - lol. And my Mom is always lost in my kitchen too, but I feel the same way about hers now even though I grew up in the house.
I'm hosting this year for my MIL's side of the family. They all live in the same town 1 hour from us but no one would host, so they get to drive instead of us - lol. Don't know how many will show up. I'm cooking a ham big enough for a crowd then enough side dishes to feed my parents, us and my MIL and SIL because I know we will all be there :). Everyone that comes brings 2-3 dishes of their own so I'm not worried about having enough food.
I even got a table from church for any extras that show up :).
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
OH - sent my winning words in ;).

Hi Everyone!!! It's BINGO time!!! (well, almost)
We are staying home, but looking forward to our son and daughter coming in from college and hubby's birthday is the 26th... and we also are going to put the tree (fake) up this weekend, because Sarah, (daughter) is working almost up until Christmas this year... and she has been putting that star on since she was a baby!!!! LOL ... All in all, it's a cosy time for us, movie watching, walks on the beach, enjoying each other... did I tell you our family is like Chevy Chase's in Christmas Vacation... (movie):D LOL...LOL
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!
from the heart,
Faith

We are going to my BIL's on Thanksgiving Day. He is the best cook. My SIL is one lucky woman (my husband doesn't cook at all - must be his brother got all of the cooking genes LOL). Then on Friday we go to my parents for a second dose of Thanksgiving and turkey. Yum!!! And all I have to do is make desserts. Happy Thanksgiving!
Sandra from NC
11-25-2008, 08:26 AM
Faith - we put our tree up over Thanksgiving weekend too. We started doing it when DS was a baby. Gave us more time to get it all completed. We've just kept it up now for 14 years - lol. Now if it doesn't get put up, I think it's not worth doing because it won't be up very long  - lol.

I'm looking forward to another game of Bingo! We are hosting family and friends on Thanksgiving--my bro and his family from out of state, my bro's best friend and his gf (from my home town, so he's like another bro!), my DD is coming home from college and my parents so it will be a happy time. Then Friday we're hosting another get together with the add't of my Dad's cousin and family--that will be a "picnic" type meal--including paper plates! We also celebrate Christmas with my bro's kids, since they spend Christmas elsewhere, we are working on putting up outside lights this week, Sat the tree will go up most likely. And I get this week off from work which is good--the next two weeks I'll be working tons-so I appreciate the time to get some things done. Happy holidays to all!:D

I just sent my words in. Can't wait to start. Thanks for having bingo. :D

11-25-2008, 05:06 PM
LOL!! All this sounds like so much fun and... a lot of work! Whew! Makes me tired just to think of digging out my tree and stuff, but ohhh, once it gets up, I love to turn out all the lights and just sit and stare at it, and then to watch the presents start piling up under it during the next few weeks!!
And I remember well the days of having to drag my kids all over from house to house, bless their hearts for having to put up with that! And their lil' bellies so full, sometimes getting car sick, or falling asleep from playing with their cousins so hard, and it would be so late by the time we got home! Thats one reason why, when my grandaughter was born, me and DH go to her house early on Christmas morning, before she wakes up, so we can watch her see what Santa has brought, and then the 'men folk' cook breakfast! But now, I'm getting ahead of myself, aren't I? LOL!! Thanksgiving first!!! I know, I know.....LOL!
Sandra, that is too funny [leaving the tree up]!! I have been known to not have taken mine down until MARCH!!! [revealing my shameless secrets] LOL!!
Karen-- I'm going to KEEP you in KY! ;)

I got my words in and am also looking forward to another round of Bingo. Thanks to Melody for hosting. I will be doing the Thanksgiving cooking but it will just be our immediate family. The kids will be coming home and hubby finally got home after being in Arizona for 6 months with his job. We have a niece's wedding on Saturday so all the relatives will get together then.
Hope you all have a Blessed Thanksgiving. Let the first word roll!

All my words are in...I'm ready to play...I'm sitting here waiting for BINGO to start, I hate to see the rest of you lose...;)
We actually saw our first snow this past week....that's rare for VA!! It didn't do anything but flurry hard...didn't stick or anything, but it was BEAUTIFUL coming down! I actually got pics of it! Love that I now have a spare camera that I keep in the car!
Thanksgiving plans....we celebrate with my family tonite (Wednesday)! We started doing that a few years ago since all the kids are now married and normally had several stops that we had to make on Thanksgiving day! You can only eat so much in one day! Plus my brother and his family usually head to Nags Head (my SIL's parents have a cottage there) to celebrate with her family and my DH and I sometimes head to NC to celebrate with his Dad's extended family. SO...we eat with my family on Wed evening, then head to my DH's family on Thursday! It's nice to not be rushed and to be able to enjoy all the goodies at both places! At both dinners, everyone brings something! Thank God my DH does all our cooking! They now "expect" his potatoes, a "real" ham (not just ham slices), and some kind of dessert! One year he made individual ramekins of a chocolate dessert we got on our cruise! They were to die for!!
I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving and be SAFE if you are traveling!

My hubby does the cooking to for thanksgiving.
After my kiddos school performance and we will come home and the hubby will make his grandma's recipe for apple pie. And I will probably design a few files and then watch Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. I love this movie it makes me giggle. My hubby loves it's a wonderful life.
What's your favorite movie?
Enjoy

BECKY-- that's a wonderful idea of posting something on the first page after Bingo has been called, that way it gives you first hand on whether to keep looking for your words or not. We'll see what would be good to use, and you'll have to help me to remember...LOL...;)

This week has been very busy. Doctors appts for my daughter and I. MRI for me (TMJ/Hearing loss being checked out). Worked Monday and Wednesday, cooked pies on Tuesday, Took the kids to see Bolt afterwork at Chunky's. Last night our son came down with the flu bug and my hubby has laryngitis and a bad cold. Manda is sounding hoarse today. So fun times in the house here. Thankfully we stay home and I do the cooking and I'm not sick. I have a 25lb bird in the oven. Should be done around 1ish and all the family will be here for dinner. 9 of us.

Great first word after everyone is still stuffed from the past Thanksgiving Holiday meal. What does everyone cook for their main course for Christmas? We have the traditional turkey dinner from Thanksgiving replicated except no pumpkin pie. Instead we have tons of cookies and candies from all of our families' stash of Christmas recipes.
scrappytaz
12-01-2008, 09:25 AM
We usually do either a Ham dinner or a Standing Rib Roast. My guess this year is a Ham seeing that it would cost me a small fortune to feed all my guests. I usually try to keep it very simple seeing that I am busy with putting toys together and getting my house back in order from all wrapping paper being thrown all over. Everyone brings a dish.
Great first word Mel!!

That is a great first word. For Christmas, we usually have ham. However, I got a free turkey for Thanksgiving that I didn't cook. It won't be big enough for my crowd, so I will cook both the small turkey and a ham. Everyone brings a dish to share.

I came up with this file because I wanted to list all of our favorites throughout the year.
our favorite shows, restaurants, new foods we tried, favorite book, favorite toy (my KNK always ranks high on the toy list)
These aren't major event but definitely include the "remember when" factor.
So i thought this might be a nice file to help you end out your 2008 scrapbook... or maybe begin your 2008 scrapbook. hahaha.
I am glad you like!
I know I have Melody quite a few more files to hand out to players. So keep an eye out.
Enjoy!

Sounds like everyone had a good holiday! My DH & I spent it alone with the pups. My kids live in Texas and Bill's son in Yuma had other plans. More ham for us! Well, one holiday down and another to go. My hubby and I hosted Thanksgiving for our son and his g/f, plus my mom & step-dad. Just before everyone was leaving, we were informed by all that they will be back here for Christmas. YIKES!! Well guess we better think about going to the tree farms around here and get a monster tree to decorate. That plus making up a new list for Christmas dinner!

Thank you Chris! That file was great! And will be used alot, just what I needed to boost me back into getting some pages done, in between all the
holiday rush! I have some great pics that come to mind. Now, to talk DH into doing the shopping for me.........NOT!!! LOL! He practically breaks down to tears if I try to make him go to Dept stores!!! LOL! Grocery stores, he doesn't mind, but then there a matter of making the list and then telling him where it's located, and giving him the lecture on not getting extras! MEN!!
He's my third child I never had! LOL!

Thanks for the free file and the heads up for the new quarter. I am visiting my oldeset daughter in Wilmington,NC where the weather is very cold for me 28-50s. (it was 80s-90s when I left Fla home) AND today it is raining, and reported was a winter-y mix. I am told that is snow-sleet-rain-ice pellets. I have my camera ready to photograph a "flake" in case I see one. LOL I would HAVE to scrapbook that moment! Anyway, thanksgiving was peaceful in spite of the two horse-dogs running circles around me. The Christmas holiday will be spent in OKC where I have a better chance of seeing flakes, and with my grandaughters (3-1/2 and a 9 mo old ). I also hope to witness the ultrasound of #3.
??maybe a boy?? So, I hope everyone had a good turkey holiday and enjoys this blessed season.

I love SNOW CREME...but usually we don't get enough snow to make it, so.................I bought a snow cone machine (makes snow cones and slushies out of ice) and they have a flavor called "Homemade Snow Creme"! I bought some and made a snow cone last night and it REALLY DID taste like snow creme! My other favorite is Dreamsickle! Yea, I know it's cold outside, but I LOVE my snow cones!

Ah Melody! I was sure you were going to say, when life gives ya a bunch of snow...make snow cherries. I couldn't resist. I just got in from shoveling two driveways (3 cars each) and halfway around the block as we live on a corner. I try to do the neighbor's driveway and walk too because they are still teaching and I'm retired. I remember how exhausted I was each day after school...and they do so many good things for me. You have to LOVE good neighbors!

WHEN and IF we get enough deep snow, we go out and get a big bowl full, add cream, vanilla, sugar...and whatever else you'd like, stir together and eat like ice cream. MMMMMMMMM, so good and fun to eat! But, you gotta remember, especially if you have dogs to NOT get the yellow snow!!! LOLOL!!!:D:D

Well, these aren't cookies, but they were Christmas candy...
while I was growing up, my aunt (who never married or had children), my mom, and my brother and sisters and I would always go to my aunts house one Saturday a couple of weeks before Christmas and make what we called "Martha Washington" candy. We would cover dates, cherries and layer it with peanut butter (my personal favorite). Some we would cover with a bittersweet chocolate and some we wouldn't. My aunt had these two HUGE, thin boxes that we always put the candy in to dry. That was my FAVORITE candy...every time I would go to her house after we made it, I would head straight for that candy! I actually scrapped the recipe for a recipes swap I was in...I'll look and see if I can find it and post it!

OK...I LOVE this candy...we made it every year growing up! I call it Martha Washington Candy!
1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) margarine or butter
2 (16 oz each) boxes of powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla flavoring
peanut butter (creamy or crunchy, your preference)
2 inch cube paraffin
6 (1 oz each) squares unsweetened baking chocolate
Cream margarine, sugar and vanilla together until welll mixed. (It should be stiff.) Place wax paper down and sprinkle with powdered sugar. (For ease of handling, it may be easier to split the mixture and do only some at a time.) Roll fondue mixture out to 1/8 inch thick. Spread with thin layer of peanut butter. Roll mixture into log. Refrigerate about 30 - 45 minutes. Cut log into 1/2 inch sections and then cut in half again.
In glass container, heat chocolate and paraffin in microwave on 30% power for 7 - 9 minutes, until melted. Place the candy on a fork and dip, one at a time, into the melted chocolate, rolling with fork to completely cover candy with chocolate. Drain a few seconds until chocolate stops dripping. (You can also leave some not dipped.)
Let candy stand until chocolate is set and hardened, about 2 -10 minutes. These may be kept at room temperature in an air-tight container for several months.

No Ice Capades, hardly ever snow, not here in SE AR anyway. Love the recipes though. I would love some easy delicious soup recipes for the damp, cold weather we do get. Can we ask for some if it's allowed?
I do have one that's real easy, and my family loves it. If anyone is interested, here it is:
Ingredients:
About four slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 small onion, chopped
Cubed ham, a cup or more as desired
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can chicken noodle soup
1 can milk
2 boiled eggs chopped
¼ teaspoon thyme
1 can Italian green beans, drained
Fry bacon until crisp, drain and set aside. In bacon drippings sauté chopped onion and ham. In larger pot combine all ingredients, slowly heat, stirring frequently, until hot.
You can double or triple this recipe to feed a group. Great on cold nights, and we like it with cornbread.
Enjoy!

BUCKEYE CANDY
________________________________________
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
5 1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
2 c. peanut butter
1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
12 oz. chocolate bits
1/2 bar paraffin
Knead all together and shape into balls the size of walnuts. Melt the chocolate bits with the paraffin in the top of double boiler. Stick toothpicks into the balls and dip into chocolate so all of the ball is covered except top where toothpick is. This is what makes them look like buckeyes. Set on cookie sheet or wax paper in refrigerator until cold. Take off with a knife. Keep cool.

Your right, they are VERY similar! We also used to cover cherries and nut filled dates when I was little with the Martha Washington candy (and dipping them in the chocolate)...but since I like neither...now all I make is the Peanut Butter version!!

I have gone to the Ice Capades but it was years ago when I was a little girl. My Mom and Dad sent me to Boston with my Aunt and Uncle and they took me. Beautiful show, but when we went out to find our car someone had broke into it and stole radio. It was a very cold ride back to their house seeing that it was in the middle of winter in Boston. Burrrrrr. I don't have any photos but I have a program from the show. Does that work?

Did you use the peanut butter filling and then add dates and cherry's?? If so I do not think I would like that. I also make a popcorn called Buckeye Crunch....Very good.
You take Carmel corn....Cover it with Wilton's peanut butter chips melted and tossed over the Carmel corn....Then melt some Wilton's milk chocolate and drizzle this over the popcorn. This is Yummy!! Very easy to make. My niece goes to Ohio State University and bought a box of this for me for Christmas and I made up the recipe. Was very expensive in the store....!!:p

NO...Unlike the BuckEyes...you don't mix the peanut butter and fondue...you layer it. So for the cherries and dates, you would just cover them with a very thin layer of the fondue and then dip them. The rest of my family loves them...not me! I'm trying to remember what kind of nuts we put inside the dates....I think it was pecans.
The BuckEye Crunch sounds good! Do you make your own Caramel Corn or buy it already made?

Ooooh, I need 4 more and they all start with S! So come on, we need some skating, skiing, sledding and a snow angel. LOL. Wow, and to think I used to do all those things when I was a kid. The most I do now is the snow angel. The bad part about that is the dogs, Storm and Pepper, run up to me and start giving me a face wash with snow. Ugh. Yep we have plenty of snow here in WI and as far as I'm concerned, it can all melt away right after Christmas and Mother Nature could bring us 80 degree weather and plenty of sunshine!! Now do ya think I am sick of the snow and the cold yet? LOL.

Debbie,
My Dad was here for a few days and ready to go back to the cold. :-)
Your story of the dogs helping you with the snow angle made me giggle!!
Enjoy!

Carolyn,
How many potatoes and how much cheese do you use? This sounds so good, I'd like to try it. I usually make parsley potatoes at Christmas with the ham but this would be a nice change.

THANKS everyone! I was down to 1 word after Melody called Scrapbooking (you KNOW I had to choose that one!)....and then she went and left for awhile....it was KILLING me! I haunted the boards until she finally called Snow Angel! (I collect angels, so choosing that one was a no brainer!)
NOW....I can FINALLY get my Christmas cards made for my employees! I supervise about 100 people at work, and I hand make Christmas Cards for them...well...I sorta "hand make" them...I cheat cause I use cutter files! This year, I'm using Chris's "Forest of Trees" file. Simple card...pp on top, tree, stamp sentiment and voila...done! Just got to do it 100 times!!! (and I really cheat on the inside...run them thru the printer!)

Awww, ya'll make me feel so good!! I'm so happy you enjoyed playing, and you're so welcome...maybe I'll do it again ...next year...hehehe!! :D
A great big thanks to Chris for all her fabulous files. I really like the idea of
using the forest trees for the cards (still have to get a few more done), I
may just scraplift that idea, Miss Sarah! ;) And all the recipes were fun and good to know-- I saved and printed them, gonna check them out. I love this time of year, and I hope everyone the best of wishes, and a safe season!
*Scrappytaz-- that pic of your program made me think of just how wonderful
it would be to attend one of those events! Thanks for sharing.. and I am sending you a prize file!

Trust me...when I read your post (and Chris's answer), I thought "Man...now they will NEVER call Snow Angels" :( And then Melody did! WOW! Not sure if she picked and chose or if she was drawing them out of a hat, but GREAT TIMING!!!
I LOVE Chris's files and playing BINGO is great fun! (Although NOT good on the heart with only one to go....my DH thought he'd NEVER see me again, I was spending so much time on the computer! I kept telling him, I only have one more word to go...but he just didn't understand!)

Hi Joni :)
It truly depends on how large a crowd you are feeding. Normally I use about 20ish, 2 - 3 16 oz cartons of sour cream, and about 1 pound of cheese. These are estimates; but pretty close. You know those dishes you don't even use a recipe for any longer? Well, this is one of those for me! We've had these potatoes for about 30 years! I can't believe I just typed that!!! I can't believe I'm old enough to say I've cooked a recipe for 30 years!!! Man I'm old!!! lol!
I, too, just needed one more word--Snowball! Congratulations to you!!! I'm sure you will really enjoy the membership!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!! Hugs, C:)
