With the Holidays right around the corner, I decided the focus this month will be a card. It's a really simple sketch with some cute circle embellishments from Chris.

This month, I would like you to think outside our normal box. How many different cards can you make with this sketch? Have you ever considered sending out Thanksgiving cards instead of Christmas cards? (Thanks for being my friend, etc.) Have you ever given a set of blank homemade cards as gifts?
My mother in law loves them!

Anyway, Let's be creative this month and share some cards.

When I saw this sketch, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I saw this background paper in my DCWV Christmas Stack and thought it was just perfect to go with Chris's Forest of Trees file (CD00423). The brackets are from last month's sketch challenge. The white strip of paper was embossed with my Cuttlebug. This is a wonderful sketch and I am hoping to make a few variations for Christmas cards. Thanks for the challenge.

Kelly :)

Here's my version:

I had full intentions to follow the sketch exactly, but when I started to put all the pieces together, it just looked better off centered. Oh well, the joy of creativity!

I used Chris's Poinsettia Happy holidays (http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/store/search.php?mode=search&page=1) It also has a nice title with the poinsettia that you can cut as well.

Sorry for the cross post. I made this card for this month’s sketch challenge and since it’s jazzed up, decided to post in the Jazz Up the Holidays Challenge too.

The card uses elements from two of Chris’ files: Snowflakes & Stars (CD00619) and Snowflake Photo Frame (CD00427). The snowflake photo frame is attached with pop dots. The snowflakes on the background paper were stamped with Champagne Versamark Dazzle and dotted with Star Dust Stickles. Everything else is just full of Stickles, lol. It's hard to see in the photo but the card is really sparkly.

Here's mine, I needed a quickie get well card, so this is it, I had brackets on it, but it just wasn't working for me, I should have made a bigger card! LOL

Thanks! I too loved that paper. It is a 12 x 12 stack, I had to get the right spot with all the colors. ;)

Ok, I've had this half done for over a week and finally got it done. I was thinking of a Christmas theme--I used Lori's Happy Holiday file--was tricky to cut it so small, but I finally got it to work. Sort of a pink Christmas theme. Used stickles to make it look more wreath like, PP, CS and ribbon.
