Ok, here's what I've been doing since the weather is so bad I have to stay home. I have made a bunch of Valentine cards, some of them are challenges using Chris', Sharon's and Darcy's files. I might make more, I'm really snowed in now, electricity is flickering alot. I got those foam glittered hearts at the Target dollar spot, 23 for a buck! Can't beat that!

Thanks girls, we're still snowed in, the wind is really blowing and drifting. I need to finish up some financial bookwork for the farm, then maybe I can scrap. So far the electricity has stayed on since the first outage.

Ok, I made a couple of cards using Darcy's Blooming Hearts and Love Ewe files. I used some shiny paper on the heart, used some glitter pens on the flowers and also on the lamb.

Here are some cards and card fronts I made using some of Chris's files. Some are not finished yet, drying, ribbons, and insides. But I wanted to share what I was working on before I forgot. The close up is grape stickles on purple cardstock. 2 have glimmer mist pearl (wet). Thanks for looking and great files.

I used stripped paper and the red one is colored with red copics marker. the greenish one is embossed paper and I used my cats eye caulk on it then sprayed it with pearl Glimmer mist along with the pink stripped one.

I wish I had time to play and make some cards. I think Im going through cutter withdrawl. LOL!

Im now putting the living room back together, and think I got DH, talked in to waiting on the other two rooms till after the wedding. Lord, I hope so.

I cut so many pieces that it was hard to choose which to use first. I have lots left to play with. I finished 2 layouts and one card so far.

I agree Lisa sorry I should have mentioned that they are all wonderful creations and I know that EVERYONE worked very hard with this grab bag. I loved all the entries... I am excited that many of you were able to come up with a project so quickly...

Sharon, that's very generous, but I know I can adjust the size once I find a luminary in a better price range. (The one I found was the battery operated type made by Febreze/Procter & Gamble, and it was about $15 at Food Lion and Safeway. I haven't found any others yet.)
Or maybe I'll just get a square glass candle holder, possibly from Dollar Tree, and see if I can cut something that wouldn't catch on fire. Maybe red Contact brand vinyl? Or I spend less than the $15 and buy a jar of etching creme and a glass candle holder. I need to think about it. In the meantime, the squares cut great as diecuts for cards and scrapbooking.

Lisa did you try the battery operated tea lights and candles? I know the candles are pricey at Hobby Lobby but maybe you can find them some where cheaper. They work great for paper and no fire. ;)

No- I haven't noticed them. I checked, and Amazon.com has some that are not too much. Much safer than candles, but not as much fun.

One church retreat I attended, there was a lady who brought a scented candle to our optional crop night. She wasn't watching, and she held her cardstock too close to the candle, igniting it. After I called out, she put out the paper quickly, but the smell of burnt paper negated the effect she'd wanted from the candle. :D

I must say i prefer the real tea lights, but with a 5 year old. The piece of mind is phenomenal. We used them for inside jack olanterns. My sister bought a pack of 12 for 9.00 from amazon and my Aunt bought something like 36 from costco for 20.00 and they had extra batteries. So just thoughts. :-)

They definitely have their place. but not as pretty smelling as my candle on the kitchen window ledge. :-)
