POST YOUR PICS IN THIS THREAD>>>>>>>> http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/forum/showthread.php?p=23552#post23552

Why am I posting this so early? Well here is why...

I want time to send you a charm and have you post your project. Sandra from the Creative Team graciously sent me a bag of Charms. I love them all. I think they are awesome. Sandra often shows her projects with charms. I am gonna take a picture of those charms on my table and
I will send you a charm if you send me your mailing address. I will take the last sign ups by March 8th. (to receive a charm) I will mail them out by March 15th or 16th

Then you need to post your project using the charm the week of the challenge. (Your request that I mail you a charm is your commitment to complete the challenge)

You do not have to have a charm from me to participate in the challenge.

If you already have a charm and don't need me to send you one. Then no problem. just get ready to join in.

I hope to get into the craft room this weekend to take a picture of them all. My son will be hovering. He can sit and look at the jar of charms for hours and hours! He loves them. Even asks when the charm lady will mail more. haha.

So get prepared....
and if you are confused here is the break down...

Reply to this thread you want to join in. So I can list your name.
PM me your mailing address here at the forum. by March 8th.

When you receive your charm create a project and post it in this thread no later then the 31st of March.

Hope everyone has fun! and those who have never used charms want to jump in.

maybe Sandra can post her favorites from a Charming Place in the thread. or ideas in using them.

Enjoy!
Chris

WOO HOOO!! This will be so much fun! Of course I have tons of charms - lol. Chris probably thought I sent her most of mine but I didn't even notice them missing - lol.

Favorites? Oh my - I have lots and it changes constantly. Most of my favorites are flowers. Here are a few links. I have to go get my hair cut soon so I'll do as many as I can before leaving.

http://www.acharmingplace.com/store/product.php?productid=20083&cat=463&page=1 It's hard to tell with this pictures but this one is 3-D/

http://www.acharmingplace.com/store/product.php?productid=20097&cat=463&page=1

http://www.acharmingplace.com/store/product.php?productid=20174&cat=463&page=1

The pocket watch (http://www.acharmingplace.com/store/product.php?productid=16531&cat=282&page=1)is my all time favorite!

and these swirls are favorites now...
http://www.acharmingplace.com/store/product.php?productid=20401&cat=0&page=1

http://www.acharmingplace.com/store/product.php?productid=20402&cat=0&page=1

http://www.acharmingplace.com/store/product.php?productid=20403&cat=0&page=1

but the best way to find some charms is to go to the store at www.acharmingplace.com. and your price lowers when you order 10 charms and trust me you will use them :) and they are addicting - lol.

Oh great, yet another web to get my money!!! LOL!!! I haven't really bought that many charms, so-o-ooo.... I am now interested in trying them out! I have always admired them, for the dimensional purpose, but never really used them. That pocket watch is adorable, Sandra, but SWIRLS...oh yeah, baby!!! :D I'm a swirly kind of girl! =)

Here is a Black and White card (http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/forum/album.php?albumid=56&pictureid=570)with a charm buckle. I used this for a marbled stamp challenge at PT as well. I also colored the dew drops with my copics. :D

OK, now that I did some other pages, I feel free enough to sign up for this. I have never used charms on paper crafting, so it should be fun.

I love all the examples!

How do people usually attach the charms? The hole in my charm is too small for even my small brads.

Kelly - I use wire cutters and cut the hole off the charm and use glue dots to stick them. If a glue dot doesn't fit I'll roll it in my fingers to place it. You can also put jump rings on them and hang them with safety pins. and do all the things Ginger (Games)mentions too:).

Thanks. I was wondering about this myself. I haven't glued metal very often, and one of mine doesn't have a hole. Another has a tiny hole, and one has a hole I know how to use. :)
