You're right Elizabeth! I won a Christmas stamp set too. It's really funny because I'm Jewish, but won both Christmas and Easter! I sent them a thank you and Mario wrote me back a few times. He said that every draw is totally random, but he tends to look back to see when the person first started and how often they write on the blog. He found that I started in early March 2009 and have written every single day! At least I'm consistent! lol! Too bad I'm not equally as lucky with the lottery!!!

Hmm-don't have that word--poor DD is terribly allergic to lavender--we visited a lavender farm in Oregon a few years ago--poor DD couldn't breathe, turned bright pink with a rash--she didn't touch, just looked at the fields! So, even though I like it--no LAVENDER here!

I am lucky enough to be scrapping today, and I am working on an album I made for my dad all about his classic car that he restored. I am using a ton of ink cause I am doing a lot of distressing. This page I just finished a little while ago:

Good job Heather! I was working on a card ( I guess that's inking) when I got interrupted by my farmer guys...otherwise I would have gotten this one posted sooner. I used a new stamp set from Stampin UP, I HAD to have this set since we have so many pheasants around our farm, and the wheat, sorry we're not gluten free! I used some colored pencils to add a little color to the bird.

Pam. If you think you top looks to heavy, try switching the bird image to the top right and the saying to the bottom left, so the corners over lap in the middle, then position your wheat just over the saying. See if that works.

LOL! I know what Phlox is. It grows well here in the high desert of Colorado. There are many different varieties that are all VERY different. They usually have clusters of small danty flowers. I would add a picture of two of some, but don't know how to do that.

This is my first time playing and I didn't realize that their were other things going on like challenges within the bingo! How cool is that! My internet has been down for a few days, and when I went to check my words there were 16 pages of comments, so of course I had to go read to find out why! LOL.

Hollyhocks bring back some great childhood memories for me. My Mom used to grow them all along our back fence. When I was little, she would pick one for me, turn it upside down so the flower faced down. Then she would put a toothpick thru the base of the flower to create a dancing lady in her formal gown. I would play with that until it just fell to pieces. She still grows them, and she and I still do the same thing for my girls when the come to visit.

Ohhh to be young again!:D

Thanks for triggering the walk down memory lane. Too bad I don't have any photos of me or my girls. They are bigger now and not very interested in it anymore. Oh well, maybe my grandkids some day!;) Hopefully I have a while to wait for that though. They are only 10 and 16.

Or you could take a picture the next time your mom brings flowers- could even be of her carrying them. That leaves plenty of space on the page to write out the whole memory. I am really weak on doing that, but it is so great when we can do it.

Thanks I did find it , still in my email, and got right to work. I named it stencil borders! LOL So here is what I did. I cut the thinner border and used part of it on a card , put a little spackling on, I'm kind of messy or else that spackling is a little old (like me)...wonder if it will stay on long enough to give it away, probably won't mail it, everything is made from scraps.
