So I am interested in knowing how many would like to do a tag swap. I would really like to do one.

so thoughts on fine tuning it before I start with signups..

When to have it postmarked by i.e I am thinking July 15th/August 1st ( to cover for the summer vacations giving folks time to do)

Themes you might want these are mainly for gifts on packages. (Holiday? Winter? )

and 5 in and 5 out?
(plus one for hostess.. pretty please?)

And tag size?

Any additional input.

Thanks
Chris

I am definitely in especially with it being due in July/Aug. Sign me up for two spots, which ever you finally decide on.

Oh, this sounds good--I think I'm in, but we have to decide on a theme, right?

I was thinkng I would take a few sign ups for maybe

winter (snow, flakes, etc)
Christmas (trees & santas & such)
friends & family (maybe just representative of what they mean to us to use on special gifts or hostess gifts for the holidays)

just thinking

Caz,
Basically you sign up and get the items to the hostess within the time frame.

Depending on the swap. Some might have you bag them. (I think this is the easiest)
But basically you follow the guidelines. so you make 5 of the same item. then you get back 5 different ones. your item is traded out to other people and there item is swapped to you.

you just send the postage plus a little extra. for instance with the card swap some of the cards were a lot extra. So I took all the postage and piled it up. went to the post office and gave the guy the stack of envelopes. He started metering them and if I had enough stamps I used those and then when we made it through that I gave him the cash that was sent and covered the extra. When i personally do swaps I send a 5.00 I figure they may need an envelope, they may need extra postage or someone else might have missed it. and sometimes you send an extra item for the hostess or whichever. depends on the swap.

So basically it is just in the details, but you get back some fantastic work. I did the swap for the planner last christmas and can I tell you the whole family is on the list for wanting new ones. I am to the point where I might just do a whole set by myself because so many wanted them.

and the recipe swap was awesome because you got creativity and new recipes. also great holiday gifts.

anyways... hope that makes sense.

Enjoy!

so.. you make 5 identical Tags.. and if you sign up for two slots, you make two sets of five ?

And I couldn't send you money for postage, could I Paypal you once you knew how much it was going to cost ?. To me, it would have to be International Mail and no use me sending you Australian Dollars :)

the logistics are perhaps too difficult for me to take part?

Come on Caz.

We should be able to figure this all out, so you all can play along.

When you do the postal shipping online, It is much cheaper. and it tells you all the things you need to fill out, and you can print them, and stuff right from the computer.

I'd like a unifrm size. the ones that Tricia did last year seemed to be a good size. I will have to see what size it was and start a sign up.

Caz. I am going to hostess we will get it done. If you want to participate we'll make it happen!

Enjoy!

You can do it Caz. I have sent things to Tina before, didn't take much longer than mail here in the states. Did cost more but then it was heavy (mustard).
