Get ready to create! Each month we will use a different file from the QMC to make a project that is all your own… layout, card, or other paper project. I will post mine first to introduce the file we will be using. If you are not a member of the QMC, that’s ok, you can still participate by purchasing the file from the store individually… but, if you have been thinking about joining the QMC this is a great reason to do so!!! Once you create your project, post it here under the right challenge and you will be sent a coordinating file for free! How awesome is that??? So get ready to make it your own!
Here's our first challenge... Musical Jumbles (http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/store/product.php?productid=16260&cat=0&page=1). You can use either of the 2 jumbles.
I created a layout, but cards, home decor, and other paper crafts are also very welcome! I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations each month!
Here's mine... post your below!

Here is my layout. I have used Chris's file digitally. I have coloured it and given it a texture to look like card. I am really happy with the way it turned out.

Caz - your layout is gorgeous! And Dana - I love yours too.
Hmmm, I really don't have anything musical to do. Maybe I can come up with a card. I need to make a list of what I need to accomplish before the end of the month - lol.

Not one of my better accomplishments, but I finally scrapped the picture of me and a few friends at the Poison Concert in August!

Great job with the layouts. I love how everyone using the files differently and they all look great. Guess that is because of the great designer behind these awesome files. Thank you Chris.
Anyway I worked on this today, finding the picture was the hardest part. We are not a musical family. These are my twin cousins birthday party (they are married adults with kids now) but as you can see in the background is their sister playing happy birthday to them. The music notes are cut from glitter cardstock. This file cut great on my element but I did have to cut it twice because of the glitter. This paper is tough almost rubbery like.

Newbie here. How do I post my card?
scrappinmama

The easiest way I have found is as follows:
1. I upload a picture of my layout into my photo bucket account. If you don't have an account there, go to www.photobucket.com It's a free online picture site.
2 After uploading the layout, copy the IMG code
3. Paste this image code into a message here on the forum..
And there you go. You should have the picture loaded :)
Hope this helps

Thank you for your help. Here is a card I made for my grandkids to give their dad for his b-d. On the inside their fingerprints are the music notes.

I made a card for my husband. Either for his birthday or Valentine's Day (they are both next month so I haven't decided yet). I used metallic shelf liner for the music jumble so it is very shiny and some silver stickles on some of the music notes of the title.

This is a gorgeous card! I love the shiny effect of the metallic paper. What are "Stickles" ? I keep reading about "stickles" but have no idea what they are :)

Stickles are just glitter glue. They come in all kinds of colors. And a lot less mess than trying to use regular glitter.

I was really not thinking outside the box. When I saw this challenge, I thought WOw, "I have the perfect photos for this challenge." but I never went to get them printed. Since I am not a card maker, the card idea never crossed my mind. Then my kids were asked to make a valentine for people in their lives that help them. Ben suggested his piano teacher and the light bulbs went off. Sorry I did not have this finished by the end of the month, my brain was not clinking. Here's my sample. Rosalie

I think Rosalie and Dana are planning on hosting challenges monthly as they can. :-) I am glad everyone participated. It makes it alot of fun to see everyone's work and the two challenges seemed to mesh well together.
Have a wonderful day!
