Here it is! The March sketch challenge. This month, we have chosen a card sketch. Chris has creative several cute shape with the spring in minds. Let's see what you can do. The participation prize this month will be a random drawing from the store.

Does anyone what to organize a card swap? That might be fun.

Here is my take on the sketch for this month. I have used the heart, scalloped strip and paper strip from Chris's files provided. I also used a kit I designed called "Sweet Easter" (available on my Blog (http://www.aussiecazdesigns.blogspot.com)) and some graphics from DigiWeb Studio (http://www.digiwebstudio.com).

Thanks for the compliments on my card! I think everyone is doing a great job, love the graduation hat, that's really cute and I love the colors on the purple heart-- looks like embossing or pen work -so cut that out--how did you do it and what is it? I love making cards--'cause you can make em', enjoy that process, send them out after taking a photo and the recipient can enjoy too! With scrapbooking, I always think I have to "add" something, with cards, I can't cause they are sent off! Hallmark no longer gets ANY of my $$$!:cool:

Thanks so much. That was the color of the paper, with the splatters of white already in it. I stippled it with warm violet to try to darken the color of the paper a little. Used the warm violet to ink everything.

Here is my card. I made it for Easter with some scrap papers and lace ribbon. I used stickles, glitter gel pen, gel pen, stapler, and cuttlebug embossing folder. This was a nice file to cut. Thanks Chris.

Okay.. Here is my card for the challenge... It is almost 1am... and I am tired. The picture came out darker than the actual card. It was pretty tough challenge to complete.

I don't think will be my card for the swap though. I am going to try to come up with something different. :rolleyes:

VERY PRETTY Jess...Did you use embossing folders? I'm thinking of buying a cuttle bug for that...or I guess I could just not get rid of my old Red Sizzix and use it just for embossing! I love the textures the embossing folders give....

Jess & Chris, your cards are cute. I'm still trying to come up with something different, I think it's a hard challenge too, using the CB embossing folder is a great idea and has helped me with some ideas, thanks. I will try to work on this tonight. :)

Ok, here's my card, I didn't have the CB embossing folder I wanted, no problem, I just did something else instead! Hope you like it. I used my new Basic Gray Porcelain papers, I had enought of the brown dot to do all of them. And I've made a few pretty cards with the other BG prints.

Great cards ladies. I used the embossing folder on the bottom of mine. Funny thing is I did it in 2 different directions and did not realize it until after my photo. Oh well! They are easy to use and you would love them. I don't have the cuttlebug, I use a rolling pin. You can use a pasta machine with the folders and it is cheaper than the cuttlebug.

Yes.. those are embossing folders.

I have a Big Shot and it is easy to use. I use all different types of dies for it.
