Recipe Swap -- Appetizer -- MAILED

OK...it seems like the majority wants a monthly Recipe Swap, so that's what we will go with. Our format will be 6x6 and embellished, but not too bulky. They will be due on the first of every month, but we will have separate sign ups every month for each different category. Everyone will mail them to me, include enough postage for return, and I will swap and mail them back out. Chris had a great idea that won't put the burden of creating too many on anyone! You create 6 of your particular recipe and I will send you 6 recipes in return. So you won't get all the recipes turned in, but you will get a variety! How's that sound?

The first Recipe Swap will be Appetizers and will be due 7/1.

If you decide to do make 6 get 6 back and just make sure no one gets there own. Sign me up twice because I will do two books. I guess that's if your over 6 people. I don't think I can do it for more then 6 tho'. That is for two sets. :-)

I couldn't agree more Rebecca, no difference if I make one or 20- I will do assembly line and do them all the same. Just need to know if I should keep one of my own or send them all. Either way is good by me :)

Some of the swaps I've done you send 1 for everyone (yourself included). This way 6 come in and 6 go out. Hope that helps.

You are correct in everything and your recipes should all be THE SAME!! Right now we are at 8, if you join, we would go to 9....C'mon and join us!! I LOVE my recipe book!

Question for all -- how many before we split into two groups?

Or would you just prefer to make a certain number and I will return to everyone the same number, but you wouldn't get a copy of all of the recipes. If this is your preference, what's your golden number?

I would think if you do two groups of 4 or 5 then those who have signed up twice can be in different groups and it would be a little less stress on those who want to do just a few.

That is just my two cents. But you would need an even number.

I was gonna post this in the newsletter this week, but am worried about having to do twenty of the same one. hahahaa.

I love recipes and have a 8-1/2 x 11 recipe book that is full, so i could go with a 6 x 6 book. So go ahead and sign me up for TWO spots please. I can do two different recipes.

We are now at 10, so an even group of 5 in each group. I am fine with whatever so either way I will be sending 10 recipes to Sarah when I get them done, hopefully this weekend as I know exactly what I am going to do.

OK... we have two choices:

we can each do 6 recipes (those that are filling two spots, will do 2 different sets of 6 recipes) and then I will return 6 DIFFERENT recipes back to you!

OR

I can split the groups into 2 different swaps, each do 7 recipes, then you would receive back your recipe and the other six from your group.

Which sounds best to everyone?

yep, the Appetizers are due 7/1, so the next group (haven't decided yet, will have to check my cookbook for sections) will be due 8/1 (and I will go ahead and post sign ups by this weekend). We won't have as long a sign up period since I figured the same people will more than likely continue...now thru 6/15?

Long story short, I am not able to use my KNK right at the present moment so I could not cut out the file I was planning on using for the second recipe page. I will try cutting the file out with my craft robo although it will not be with the same paper I have planned on using with the KNK, the paper is way to thick, so I will go with my second chose of paper. Stupid me removed the "old" version of KNK off my computer, which in turn removed all versions (only had one anyway) and could not find my product files so i was not able to use him until I had product files from accugraphics.

Well I did but forgot I had renamed the original version KNK Groove not Maxx so I thought I had two versions listed on my programs files and when I went to uninstall the "groove" version I inadvertly deleted Maxx as well. When I went to look for my product files, which I thought were on my jump drive, they were gone. I have no clue what happened to them BUT it will not happen again :)

ANYWAY - my recipes went out this morning priority so they will be there by Wednesday. I plan on working on the next set today and tomorrow.
