Sale today & Card Challenge Details
All the files are on sale for Lori and I and some of the other designers to at Paperthreads. Lori and I put them on sale for a day so anyone wanting to get a specific one for the card challenge would have there choice.

Card Challenge for October 2007
In honor of National Card Making Day, here is a card challenge. Presented by Lori and Chris for the members of Paperthreads Forum and the visitors to our blogs. This challenge is for a card made from one of our files. You do not have to use a pre-existing card file, but just one of our files to create a card of any variety. You can enter as many card as you’d like in the challenge. And the members of the Paperthread Forum will get to vote on it for a few short days and the top three winners will receive files of their choice of either Lori’s or Chris’s. This is the first time we have tried a joint challenge. If it goes well, we hope there will be more in the future.

Criteria to enter the challenge:
1) The criteria is that the card is created from any of my files (Chris Durnan) or Lori McDonalds (Beloved Keepsakes) file. Any of the files are useable for this challenge and it doesn’t have to be a pre-exiting card file. Anything you embellish it with and anyway you put it together would be your creative license. Additional designers files can be used, but at least one of my files or Lori’s must obvious when looking at the card. (If it is questionable that at least one of our files is not included then your entry will be invalid.)
2) It is posted in the Challenge gallery at Paperthreads sometime from October 19th-21st.
3) Please post the card and list the file you used in the description at the gallery.4) Voting will start on October 22nd, and will run through October 24th. With the winners announced on or around October 25th, 2007. They will be voted on by the members of the forum at Paperthreads.

Okay … I have to sneak in one more Halloween file I had on my computer. It is a Page Kit. So squares and the pumpkin and the words are all included in this file. Accept for the outer 12 inch page. I hope some can use it. This is a Terms Restricted File. Downloading this is an agreement to my Terms of Use. This download link is no longer available, but the file will be available for purchase at Paperthreads soon.
I love the way the green curlies on the Pumpkin Vines wrap up tight like ribbon on a present. So that is why I started working on this file. And I thought they have quick pages for Digital Scrapbooking. So I have bunch of Cut Quick Page files put together for those who just want to go with it and cut. I will be uploading them to the store in the next few days.

So my son and I are home today. Wew. We made it through the first 3 days of the week. I had a foundation meeting on Wednesday and we are trying to come up with some creative ways for fundraising and publicity for the foundation. So that will probably be on my mind the next few weeks. I have been trying to revamp the website some for it. I have limited knowledge of website creation, but I try. This Blog is soooo easy to run.

so hopefully in the next few days, I will get some fun time in on my Klic-n-kut instead just cutting files. I took some pictures of last years scrapbook to post in the gallery at Paperthreads. I will have to get those up later today. I think this years scrapbook is going to be an 8×8. Try something a little different. I have been sorting pictures I want to use and themes and figuring it all out. I cannot believe it is October. I usually do a few pages a month. My only goal in life to scrapbook is my yearly one. My son loves it.. as does my family.. he can sit there for hours and pour through the pictures. Then along the year I pick up other little projects to make. This year I hope to make some mini albums for family members. So I need to start listing those and getting on top of them. I have made three fill-in-the picture albums this year for friends of mine who love scrapbooks, but just want to add the pictures. I usually do these 8×8. I still cannnnnot imagine doing one of those huge 15×15 Martha Stewart books. Wow. My back hurts thinking about lugging it around.

This is a layout I did with a card from my hubby’s Aunt Nancy. She sent it to me out of the blue one day. I was having one of those days where you just wonder what the heck am I doing in life and there it was in my mail. It is a positive Thank you letter for who I am in life and in her life and in the families. It was around Thanksgiving that I received it. It came on the right day and the right time. So rather then lose it and lose that great moment for me, I put it in my scrapbook. Sometimes the little things you can do in life can make such a big impact. Aunt Nancy is definitely an impactful person.

Well I better get moving. Lots and lots to do over my next two days, but it must not be to bad because I feel like I can breathe. Either not so bad or I am in total denial of everything going on. hahah.. Could be the latter. hahaha. I am sure it is the latter…

Puzzle Frame /Card Challenge .. some details.
WOOOHOOO!! I made it back to the posts and in time to offer a download for today! I am soooo excited. This new schedule I have is keeping me on my toes. And tomorrow I have a board meeting in the a.m. so wew!

Okay so about this file it is a puzzle frame and has two different mats to it. I created this file because I have a whole set of files related to Autism per a request. I got an awesome letter that inspired me. I will share some of these files here because you may be able to use them for other things as well, but for this Mom I hope they will help her to scrap such a major part of her life. Card Challenge
Because of National Card Making Day, October 6th
I am hosting a challenge and my friend Lori has decided to join me.
So the basics are you have to make a card and you can use any of my files or
of Lori’s files for your cards. These do not have to be pre-existing card files.
You can use any of our files. It needs to be obvious that one of the files
were either mine or Lor’s or both. (That could be interesting)
To help those out who want a particular file for this
I will be sending out a coupon code for 20% off on
National Card Making Day for either mine or Lori’s files.
You can use it towards your entire shopping cart purchase
if it is filled with mine and Lori’s files.

Woohooo. I am excited about this. We have had alot of positive response on the Poll I did. So I hope we get lots of people to join and I know it is last minute, but I figure gotta get it done before the hectic holidays and everyone has run out of time to play.

Tuesday is Terrific!!
Okay I had to mess with some of my cuts some more this afternooon. So, I thought before I head into PreK and the office for the morning I would share one of my Presents I got in my email box this weekend from Cathy. This is one of my Titles for the Halloween files. Below is what she wrote what she did. I absolutely love it!!!! I just wanted to say I think it is awesome and made me grin from ear to ear when I saw it. Thank you so much for sending it to me..I have to get out my pen and start playing with it more on the KNK. And now I will need to go look at Signo Pens. Very nice!**
She wrote… Hi Chris. I had some fun this weekend playing around with this Trick or Treat file and I thought you might get a kick out of it. The top one is cut as is in the file the second two I enlarged and added an inline and used the pen tool on my AC-40 / Pazzles Pro and my fav Signo pen. I’m thinkin I like the middle one the best…probably the contrast does it for me :).
And this one is from my Buried in the Sand file… woohoo!! This is from Karen and she has sent me another previous awesome file and this one is just as awesome.

Monday afternoon and…
This is the first I have sat down. I have been all over town. My hubby took my son to PreK and I hit the tire shop to get two tires fixed. SERIOUSLY! one nail in the front tire and one screw in the back tire. I spoke with my friend Lori and she said that happens to her too allll the time. What is it with Nails and Screws and tires. Well needless to say. I took the work car in and got that fixed and next week I will be taking in the Expedition to get the nail pulled out of it’s front tire. So I kinda wrote Lori’s blog this morning. If you wanna take a peak over there and read it. It was my rendition of her “TO DO” list before the hubby heads home again. Let me know what you think.

So if things are looking a little wider they are. I started flipping through some blogs and came across this one and the lady was kind enough to show me what she did. Really easy step, but great to have it pointed out to me and save the time I wuld have spent searching. So Thank you to Tracy for helping out a stranger. I found that I ramble a little to much and thought if I stretched out the page some my visitors wouldn’t have to scroll down so far.

This is the month with National Card Making Day. I am thinking about holding a challenge to include anyone of my files entered in the forum at Paperthreads then voted on for a couple days and the winner will receive a few files per their desire from my blog. I still am trying to work out some of the details. The gallery is back up again at Paperthreads… so post post post away.

A little more on business… I have a few emails sent to me regarding the Scrap Savvy. I guess there is some confusion over who is backing the scrapsavvy. It is my understanding that at this time Michelle at Paperthreads does not have any backing in the Scrap Savvy. The confusion pointed out to me lies within the Dragonfly. Yes the logos are very similar. Michelle has used the dragonfly for the last few years with Paperthreads and all of it’s packaging. Rumor has it… her house is covered in Dragonfly decor. But don’t tell her I told you. In any case,business may change in the future (you never know how life will go), but for now Michelle is not part of the Scrap Savvy product, but as is true generous Michelle form. I am sure she will have a section of the Paperthreads Forum available for comment on the product in the future as people ask about it and want to come up with more 
info. Michelle is very free in sharing her knowledge of the machines and offering her help and time with them. So I can’t imagine this product will be any different. I think this a new logo for SS because it is a new product hitting the market. My understanding from Rumors is on the bottom of the page of this website is an image of the comparable machine. I am not reporting this as true because a scrapsavvy picture has not been taken. My machine looks like this machine only mine is a cheery bright yellow color and I don’t have to worry about my grubby fingers getting on the white. Yes I have grubby fingers. I love to get dirty doing stuff. (don’t tell Lori.. she loves to clean I have decided) As far as I know the Klic N Kut has been selling since last November and there have been all kinds of additonal products created to go with it. My own opinion would be this machine if it is it …. looks like it is my KNK with WinPC in a differen version wrapped up with it. If you are interested in any help with the WinPC features on it, I am not the WinPC guru. Lori is. So I am sure she will help anyone who needs help with it. I am partial to my KNK because I have it already. You can send me all your emails and questions as has been happening and I have no problem answering them, but of course it is just my thoughts on it and what I can dig up. One lady emailed me and said she liked the WinPc software so that is excellent. I think with every persons learning curve they will use different software. So the dragonfly for the SS is not Michelle of Paperthreads. But if anyone has a picture of SS that looks different then what I have posted.
