Folks ask my why am I loading to the forum and why the password. Well my other option is a site perhaps like 4shared etc. So you would follow the same steps only instead you go to the forum on the VDBC site and download. I am trying to centralize my work and time on the net so I can create create create. (I am having success with this goal as I have been creating like crazy.) So once you have registered at the forum you can continue to download the freebies by using the passwords. They change once a month rather then every time. So sometimes the forum may not even ask you for a password if you already entered it that month. 🙂 And that is the blah blah blah of today’s post. 
So now run on over and grab that file. And just remember….

 It’s my birthday week… Next year I will be the big 4-0. Wow. I have been pondering that last year in the 30 digits and wondering what I should do. I have been taking a renewed interest in health, in life, in happiness, in creativity. Sometimes I find folks just live without experiencing it. I don’t want to do that. I want to live and truly “enjoy” it. I am blessed with a husband who makes my heart pitter patter and a son who makes my heart beam with pride. So if you have any thoughts on your life and how you improve it daily, yearly, monthly or any. I’d love to hear it in your comments when you enter for wishlist winnings. Thank you in advance for sharing a part of yourself with me. Please IGNORE THE underline. I couldn’t get blogger to give it up!. So I decided to go with it. How so very annoying when that happens!

do you know what’s coming?

Well it’s my birthday week next week and those who have been around for a while know that it is time to hit the store and clean up those wish lists with my files (CD sku) and add your favorites to them as I search for some wishlists to give away. and some files to give away. Just want to give you enough time to work through them.

June 12 Sketch Challenge

I wanted to participate in the Jun12 Sketch Challenge as well as use some of Chris’s files digitally. So covered two needs with one layout!

I have used CD00925-Corner Flourish; CD00698-May Flower; BK00428-Plant Grow Bloom; and Ileana’s Sketch as provided. Photo is from the Internet, digital kit is mine.


I have taken parts of the personal cutter files and added styles and textures to them within Photoshop CS5. My digital layouts are designed to show that personal cutter files can used digitally without always getting out the cutter. I usually use the AI version of the cutter file as this imports into Photoshop really well. Sometimes I open the cutter files in my cutter software (KNK Studio or MTC), separate all the pieces and then export the file as a BMP. This then allows me to use the file in Photoshop once I have removed the background from the bitmap.

Team KNK: Birthday Centerpieces

I am super happy to say Omayra featured VDBC files today on Team KNK. So very exciting. Omayra cut fun foam for her birthday project centerpiece. I need to try this one time I have a friend who could really borrow one of my machines for cutting Vacation Bible School Projects. (yikes. yes I said “one of my machines” really I need to consider cleaning house since I mainly use one, but I just can’t let them go.) So yeah!!!  Thank you Omayra for featuring one of my files the Butterfly Packet and one of Darcy’s Flower Designs. The project is beautiful and I love the centerpiece effect. 
What a great way to start the week! What is your project this week?

Outta this world card

I made a card using a couple of Visual Designs by Chris files.  #CD00735 Rocket Book and her Cupid heart border.  The card is for my hubby.  I cut the rocket and the exhaust trail from her files.  Numbers were cut from Quickutz Frankie.  Mini buttons threaded with DMC thread.  Moon is a 2 1/2 inch punch.  Star and exhaust bling are from Michaels.  I stamped the rocket with a word stamp and navy ink and mounted it with pop dots.  “My love 4 u…” and “is outta this world!” are Dymo red tape.  Added a white paper clip and red/white/blue ribbon.  I mounted the moon a little above the card.  I supported the part sticking up with another small piece of black cardstock.

Dolphin library pocket

A library pocket for our Gulf Shores mini album.  I used the dolphin from #CD00584 Dolphin Silhouette.  The tape is Tim Holtz.   Crocheted border used as waves from Michael’s.  So are the blue pearls.  The tags were cut from an Accu-cut die.  Scrap ribbons.  Word stickers are from Authentique.  I printed dolphin facts from the internet.

QMC – Early Bird Files … flying away

Lori of Beloved Keepsakes is covering the QMC this quarter. She has already loaded the early bird files to the QMC. I think they are superrrrr cute!!!!! Here they are… And they are gone on the 4th of June… jump in. Lori never disappoints and I have seen some of the files. they are all super cute so far and perfect for that summer time feel. Enjoy! Mustache Party fun….

Recently my friend Lora had a fun birthday party and she made these silly mustaches for the party for silly pictures. it was awesome and so much fun. I cut the mustaches for her and and she added the sticks to hold them up. I love fun ideas this was fun! Silly and fun!

My son got in on the act as well. and all the other kids to. So fun!
Lora also picked up some silly face masks at Michael’s to go with. 
If you want to make your own disguises and fun for your next party, Grab Lori’s QMC. 
She has a file that would be perfect for just this silliness. I saw it the other day when perusing through the forum to see what she was loading for the new QMC members. Lori is the QMC lady this time around and I’ll be back after. 
This is an EARLY bird File. So you have to get in on it by the fourth to grab this file. just think of all the summer fun parties with the “disguises” running around and the great pics!
