Using another Freebies

I don’t  know about you, but I love freebies.  Have you seen how many freebies are available in the the sketch challenge forum.   Even if you have not participated in the sketch challenge, you can find lots of freebies to use on any of your projects.  For this particular layout,  I used a tag freebie from  May 2009.   Here’s the link to the sketch challenge forum.   Sketch Challenge   If you would like to see them all at a glance, I have created an album in the photo’s sections:  HERE

Well  you can tell I was nervous oh and my eyes were watering because the lights were so powerful. (The realization that my acting career is over before it begins because my eyes water in bright lights. oh darn. ha.) I look kinda silly at points, but really it was from my heart.

CD00552 Circle Tabbed Card

Here is another card using CD00552.  I love this card style and have made several cards with it.  It is so versatile!  This one is a birthday card for my youngest daughter”s 15th birthday today.  I call her my sugarbug, hence the bumblebees.

Confirmation Card

I used file #CD00103 (cross) and #CD00571 (“Confirmation) for this card.  The butterfly is one of the Cuttlebug cut and emboss dies.  Added some ribbon and a bit of bling.  I love when I can use more than one system to create some quick, easy and beautiful.

Stop by the forum for the QMC section and you will see all the new files that will be uploading next week. I have previewed a bunch. So why should you stop by today? Stop by because…. There is a poll for a new file set. I will post the top two favs in the QMC.

Yeah!! It is the weekend.

I must tell you it is Friday afternoon. I have just found a bag of M&M’s hidden in the back of the junk food drawer and I am in heaven. I definitely needed the Chocolate. So now I am working on all kinds of different files for the QMC. I have upload a bunch of the previews and yeah! I love to create and haven’t done enough of it lately. So next week should be a super busy week for those in the QMC downloading and downloading.

As for us. Our weekend plans are not heavy on commitment, but definitely on a lot of to-do’s. It is warming up quickly. I get up at about 6 and think why can’t I get up at about 5. It is so beautiful outside and I can enjoy the weather and accomplishing things without the heat of the day. Well… who knows .. maybe this weekend will be the charmer. I am gonna shoot for it as I am working on cleaning up our little RV and throwing it on the market for sale. I love it. However, it doesn’t fit our needs right now. so that is one project for sure. It is so easy to drive and smaller size so easy to maintain.

If you walked into my house right now you would see painting will soon be under way. Next week is the last week of school for my kiddo and he has agreed to help me paint the kitchen. So we need to take the cabinet doors off and take them out. Sand them a little and paint them. Might change the hinge hardware. We shall see. For now tho’ Cabinets have test paint on them and I am undecided as to the final choice.

Also, some easy plans to see some friends. ahh wonderful. Lookin’ forward to it.

Well I am gonna run so I don’t lose my chocolate high and my creative burst. I hope you are doing well and keeping happy! Don’t forget to stop by the forum and see what we have going on. Bingo, Challenges & Swaps. busy busy group over there.

Using a Freebie

This is my example of the weekly Card sketch at Let’s Scrap.  The paper is really old, DaisyD’s. I created the Hello circle sentiment in Photoshop elements using a template by Learn-Create-Share. The butterfly was designed by Shelly’s art and cut with my Craft Robo. The circle swirly thingy was designed by Chris Durnan and part of the freebies for the November 2009 sketch challenge.   You can find them in the forum: Here’s the link  November 2009.

I think it turned out pretty cute.   What do you think?

Safari Park!

This post today is dedicated to my Aunt Elise. I love her whimsical house. And especially loved this little trio of turtles she has. I was going to find something to trade her for the turtles, but most of my home decor are pieces from our travels and/or cowboy related. My hubby would not have a smile on his face to see one of his collection gone. woops. So until I find that perfect piece. I thought she would appreciate these pictures.

This is a park near where we pick up our bountiful basket every other Saturday. My son loves to walk the safari trail. these are all bronze so in the summer 110 degrees they will be blazing hot, but this walk in the safari was not to bad and so could include some monkeying around.

Hope you enjoy the pictures. I love this. It just makes me smile that they aren’t just bronze statues, but are also positioned to be eating the trees and playing in the trees. I think next time I might see if I can go back and take some different angled pictures.
