We have reached the BIRTHDAY! Woohoo!! What do I have planned? who knows? Also, today is my Day on the Card A Day Blog. This is the card I posted….Created for me by Angie. My Creative Team ladies are THE best. I love it. and then the folks in the forum shower me with awesome photos of projects. Just couldn’t get better. And this card is something I would give my hubby. He so makes my world just right. I always wonder what folks grill. We will probably be grilling. I love to ask my hubby to grill lots of things. Tin foil with chopped up apples, a little butter, cinnamon and brown sugar. PERFECT for after you’ve eaten Dinner you can pull it off the grill and eat plain or pour over ice cream. oh homemade ice cream sounds good to. So yum.

On to life…
Yesterday my son and I went to see the Chipmunks movie. I must say I am not a huge Chipmunks fan. My son found it hillarious. It was nice to do some hang out time. Trying to make the point to be more active over summer this year. This means I get more done suprisingly because I have a smaller window and spend last time.. surfingggg and pinning. But it was a good movie and the best part was his giggling and laughing. We went to the grocery store after and picked up some cereal and added to my stash for school lunches. I am a couponer… The laziest couponer you have EVER seen. I usually save at least the amount I pay and usually half as more of what I pay. I rarely get a paper to do the clippity clip. I mostly just print out a coupon for what we would use. We go through Cereal like you would not believe and right now my guys favorite is on sale so I got a few boxes of those. And I got some granola bars to add to the school year supply stash. They can be so pricey so 1.00 for a box of 8 name brand granola bars makes me happy. And I got those weird apple sauce in the go go tubes.. am I saying that right? they are squeezers? well I had a coupon for abox of those so I got some for our trip to California this summer. Perfect for in the car on the drive and a little healthier then gas station food on the way. If you have any secret tips for car drives and keeping 8 year olds from saying ARE WE THERE YET? well let me know. I’d love to know… 🙂 My plan is to give him the little protable gps we have with addresses programmed in ahead of time.

And we got supplies for the Father’s Day project we are working on tomorrow. woohoo! Pictures of that after Sunday. I hope it comes out uber cute.

… I am again preposting… it is summer vacation and so we are running around and doing all those things that we don’t get to do during the school season. For instance, we have the Harkin’s movie passes. 5.00 for 10 movies. Cannot beat that deal. We have seen some of the movies, but its fun to go and get out of the heat. so fun!

 It’s my birthday week… Next year I will be the big 4-0. Wow. I have been pondering that last year in the 30 digits and wondering what I should do. I have been taking a renewed interest in health, in life, in happiness, in creativity. Sometimes I find folks just live without experiencing it. I don’t want to do that. I want to live and truly “enjoy” it. I am blessed with a husband who makes my heart pitter patter and a son who makes my heart beam with pride. I wanted to participate in the Jun12 Sketch Challenge as well as use some of Chris’s files digitally. So covered two needs with one layout!

I have used CD00925-Corner Flourish; CD00698-May Flower; BK00428-Plant Grow Bloom; and Ileana’s Sketch as provided. Photo is from the Internet, digital kit is mine.


I have taken parts of the personal cutter files and added styles and textures to them within Photoshop CS5. My digital layouts are designed to show that personal cutter files can used digitally without always getting out the cutter. I usually use the AI version of the cutter file as this imports into Photoshop really well. Sometimes I open the cutter files in my cutter software (KNK Studio or MTC), separate all the pieces and then export the file as a BMP. This then allows me to use the file in Photoshop once I have removed the background from the bitmap.
