Life in General

April 20, 2007 By Chris Durnan

So I am a little behind. Hasn’t been a great week and my Nan (grandma) has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Not a great thing for anyone and even worse her age and current health. I usually handle life as it is thrown at me without any problems, it just has been a super busy year already with lots of pitches. I am looking forward to vacation. I am going to work on files this weekend for next weeks download. Unfortunately, I don’t have one today. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Enjoy!
Chris

Oh Chris So very sorry to hear about your grandma. I will keep her in my prayers. What a terrible thing to happen. This is why I’m so glad they push women each year for a month… for early prevention. I started having to have mammos when I was only 34, so they could make sure I had a good baseline to go from since I seem to have a higher risk rate due to family stuff. I pray everything is not too hard on your grannie! Blessings! Shawna

Chris, my heart also goes out to you and your family. My aunt just lost her battle with this disease, but I don’t think she opted for surgery. However, my mom is a 7 yr survivor, so yes, there is hope! Mary has good advise.. get checked yourself!!! Sending cyber hugs to you… Debbie.

Chris ~ I’ll be praying for your grandma, you and your families, as for wisdom for the doctors in treating her quickly & effectively.
Hope that it was caught at an early stage and all goes well. It’s those “pitches” that help us keep our lives and what’s important in perspective…hug your little one & your best friend and enjoy ALL the moments. Consider your hugged, Shelley

I’m sorry for the news about your grandmother. I recently found out someone that I know and greatly admire was diagnosed also. She had a very progressive type and was lucky to have caught it in time…I’ll be thinking of you and your family.
